From San Jose
There is a bus that comes all the way from San José to Hacienda Barú, but the ride is long and not very comfortable. The buses leave from a place called the Coca Cola Terminal, which is not located in a very nice part of town. There are two buses each day. Each bus stops briefly at Orotina and Quepos before arriving at Hacienda Baru. After the bus stops in Quepos, the ride to Hacienda Baru is about an hour. The bus will stop at the entrance to Hacienda Baru if you ask the driver to let you off there. However, don't trust the driver to remember. Watch for our sign on the right and ring the buzzer. There is a gas station immediately after our entrance.
