The front terrace is the perfect spot for early morning or sunset reading, birdwatching, and enjoying a cup of coffee. The charming tile roof is actually made from recycled plastic bags.<\/p>\n
Designed for good airflow, insulation between the roofing and the polished teak ceiling, along with high fans, help keep the room cool and reduce humidity and temperature. None of the wood used comes from natural forests. All teak and melina wood is sourced from Hacienda Bar\u00fa\u2019s own plantations. The pine used for the decorative beams and furniture is also plantation-grown.<\/p>\n
Our hotel is located within the Hacienda Bar\u00fa National Wildlife Refuge, and the jungle is just 25 meters from the rooms. Monkey visits are not uncommon, as they often come to play in the trees behind the rooms.<\/p>\n

Two day stay at Hacienda Baru<\/p>\n[\/mk_fancy_title][vc_column_text el_class=”resenia” css=”.vc_custom_1537914017247{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]My girlfriend and I stayed at Hacienda Baru for two nights Sept. 7-9 2017 and had a great stay. The rooms were spacious and ours was by the swimming pool which was very nice. Room had a icebox which we kept water and fruit in. The meals at the restaurant were very good and all the employees were very friendly and courteous. The hotel grounds were loaded with birds with the Cherries tanager being the most abundant bird. Sloth was in tree behind our cabana during our stay. We booked a 3-4 hour tour for birding on the property with a young guide named Daber and he was really good. We saw lots of birds as well as 40-50 coatis, tamandua, sloths, etc. We birded for close to 5 hours and still didn’t see all the property. We saw lots of life birds on tour and Daber digiscoped every bird for us using my girlfriends cell phone. Awesome pictures he took. The Pacific Ocean was a short 10 minute walk from the hotel. It is a wild looking beach and the waves were large and a very strong current. Beach was completely deserted when my girlfriend and I walked to it. Hacienda Baru is a place I would love to visit again. The amount of wildlife present is impressive.<\/p>\n
